Provence Rugs

This luxurious métis sheet (combination of linen and cotton) is a exquisite piece of handwork. These sheets were typically made in France for a young girl's wedding trousseau. Not only is the monogram an interesting, almost modern, design, this sheet also features a very complicated openwork on the top hem and partially down each side (the return). The intersection of the two is quite lovely and very unusual. No stains although there is one small spot on the hem that has been meticulously mended (see photo)

Measures: 88"x128" (224cmx326cm). Will work for both Full and Queen sized beds. This one is extra long for a large fold back at the top.

Monogram measures 9.5"x5" (24cm x 12.5cm)

Care: We recommend machine wash on delicate at a temperature of 100 degrees (40 degrees C) with normal laundry soap, although we use Savon de Marseille, which is available on our site. Use white vinegar in the rinse cycle to eliminate traces of soap and hang dry in the sun.
